A Stressful Day

 

Because I think I am a normal person, I always try to solve my problems without loosing my temper. I really guess that a good conversation is enough to make clear the dissatisfactions or the bad humors. But sometimes it is really impossible!

We have been remodeling our house and that’s why we have everyday a lot of employees[ working there all day long. They do a hard work and it is important to eat caloric]  food  to get a lot of energy .

My wife and I  are always eating light  food, to loose]  weight: our lunch is plenty of vegetables, fish and white meat. Because of that , I prefer buying]  food to the employees  everyday, with read meat, beans, rice, French fries etc. I always leave] word at midday take the food and go home to serve the team.

Two weeks ago, I unfortunately had a hard morning and stopped working late, at one o’clock. When I arrived home, with the food I was really surprised because our housemate had given our own lunch to the employees  without our permission due to the simple fact that they were hungry!

I have to confess that I totally overreacted; I lost my temper, and I’ve said a lot of hard words to our housemate. I asked her why she had done that.  I am an adult and know how it is  important to be  calm in these  situations, but I totally lost my composure when the housemate took that decision without our permission or a single phone call .

It was a stressful day!

The Strong Beginning

 

 

I was born in a small city called Ubá, in the state of Minas Gerais. When I was 6, my father - who was already a great music lover - bought a piano for my mother. She, who had been studying music when she was a teenager, wanted to play again. I was very surprised about that genial machine and the powerful sound that it could perform.

The day when the piano arrived home was unforgettable: the instrument, that was brought by a donkey wagon, started a new perspective in our family’s life and made a passion to music grow up in my heart.

It was at that time I have lost a sister and my grandfather, the father of my mother, two incredible sad events to a young boy. I remember the piano as a good fellow to support all that pain.

I started to composing music together I started studying piano to express my sadness and loneliness about that death: my first tune, that I named “Sala de Espera”, was written at the age of 8 years old.

Nowadays, after recording two CD’s and writing many songs, I know how important were those times and how strong and sensitive the beginning was.

 

Dear Antonio,
I got watery eyes while reading you childhood story. So much pain for a young boy...  It was more than a turning point, I 'm sure. I'm glad you discovered your passion and a way to make sadness become pure talent. It's a pleasure to have your music to enrich my life too. I'd love to hear " Sala de Espera".

The Sound of Silence

 

Last month, I had a terrible, but beautiful experience in my life. I had, at the first time, a little season at Clube do Choro. Because of my new CD’s release, called Urubupeba, I had invited some friends and great musicians as special guests.

Alencar 7 Cordas was one of them. On the first day, we were very excited about the music, the show and the public. Alencar has given an unforgettable contribution in the second premiere’s set. His solo in “Carta ao Niemeyer” was received by the audience with special enthusiasm and amusement.

However, just after he had finished that presentation, he got very bad, had a heart attack and, unfortunately, died. It was terribly sad. His presentation will always be in our souls. Despite the hard impact of his death, we realized that it was a poet’s death. In fact, Clube do Choro was, for many years, his favorite place to play music and meet friends.

Because the show must go on, on the following two days, we still played the tune “Carta ao Niemeyer”. However, in Alencar’s solo, we just kept the silence, with the band’s background. It was very emotional experience to me, to the band and the audience. We’ve felt as if Alencar was still playing with us.

Alencar has given us his very last lesson: music can be in the sound or in the silence! Long life for you in heaven, Alencar!

I know how emotional this moment was in your life, but what a nice account of your story with the concert with Alencar 7 Cordas. I had the pleasure to be there, listening to you and band, and felt his presence even in the silence in "Carta ao Niemeyer".

Modern Life

 

Nowadays, more and more people are living in big cities. Actually, since the sixties, few and few men and women have been choosing the country as a place do live until the final meeting. In fact, during the last fifty years, the higher and higher city’s possibilities have been considered to choose a urban life, with better and better work options, improve studies possibilities and more and more access to health care.

In the other side, the agriculture, a typical rural activity, more and more has been done for the machines, with bigger and bigger results than the human jobs. The technology has been used to obtain more results with less work, in other words, a   higher efficiency. It results in less people in country’s jobs, but more food’s production. It is very important do support a modern life, with lots of people living in cities, and few people living in rural areas.

That changes in the rural structures productions have been indentified as a central reason of the bigger and bigger transformations at the modern life style, where the people spend less and less attention to the origin and the process of the food’s production, who has stimulated, more and more, an artificial life style, totally distant of the mother nature.

It results in bigger and bigger changes in family trends. In the past, a big family was very important to support a farm production. Which son was considered one God’s bless and two hands more in the agriculture, to improve the results and grew up the family fortune.  The more men a family had, more possibility It had to become rich. In the urban life, this aspect has become less and less important and relevant, because the industrial process was based in the equal value of the human job, women or men. In the country family, the woman had a main role to reproduction and take care the kids and the home. In the cities, less and less, the home job has being considered an important activity, to women or men. The kids, in the same reason, aren’t now important in a job perspective, but as a person who need find more and more realized their own individuality, as a human been, not a job structural element.

There are lots of religious elements involved in this subject. But more and more, people are less interested in human reproduction as a life’s reason, and less and less couples are stimulated to have big families for economic reason. Is could be the relationship with God and the nature have changed deeply, and now the humanity have more and more focus in the own pleasure and satisfaction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cruel Researches

 

One important thing about animal researches is the limit of life’s manipulation.  Human being have been perplex through the times discussing about the sense of life and its connotation as a fundamental right. It is impossible that subject doesn’t reach philosophic and religious aspects. In the animals’ case the center of the polemics is the possibility to impose pain or subtract the animals‘ lives. Scientists and priests have been fighting to impose their point of view, which one with excellent and convincible arguments. Politics have searched the medium position that permits the respect to animals feelings and make possible to discover the cure of diseases that has been haunting the humanity. It doesn’t matter if we are talking about human animal or other nature creature: anyway the most important is to preserve the life, even being necessary to limit fundamental concepts.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I was young, fashion wasn’t’ a important thing to me and to people in
general. In fact, whereas clothes and appearance are, nowadays, in the center of
the society attention, at the seventies these were considered foolish worries.

Because the existentialism and the end of Vietnam’s war, in the United States
grew up the hippies movement, with the flower power philosophy, where
the pacifism and the simple way of life were the most important things. I was
teenager that time and, since them, It has represented a great paradigm to my
behavior and my ideas.

I recently have read an article at the news sustaining the fashion is nowadays
the most important kind of art. According to the article, it would be the genuine
expression of our days. It traduces to me exactly how the word has changed
fast in only thirty years! Today, the appearance and the beauty are a teenager’s
obsession. Similarly, adults have spent more and more attention with their hair
and dressing style, and spent more and more money with clothes. Everybody
trying to be just like Giselle Bundchen or Brad Pitt: poor fat women or bold guys.

Take care of appearance and health is essential to express you are sane and
have self-esteem, but when it become the center of life and the most important
society’s value, it can be time of reflecting. In fact, however the people are more
interesting in the external aspects of their lives, reflecting is connected with
we have inside us. It can show us other kind of beauty also important than the
fashion or perfect bodies.

Beauty

 

 

I would like to introduce a great friend wich has been with me since a long time ago.

This is a special kind of friend, because his voice produces a different type of words, words wich call directly to our souls.

My friend is very old. He was born in 1709, but I kwon him just in 1971, when I was seven years old. Since the first time I have touched him I have known that a great relationship was starting.

He is too sentimental. Can be speaking slowly and softly and, suddenly, extremely strong and higher. He can be extremely rude or the most angelical person. It depends on who is beside him. This is the great difference between him and his father, be able to express power and gentleness.

He has a lot of poetic features. His body traduces in some parts, the woman’s beauty with sinuous and gorgeous curves. His legs are thin like a horse and his heart is made of iron. A special and apart chapter is his face, with black and white teeths . His denture always express a solar smile, but if you be able to touch his lips with real passion, my friend can make you cry as a baby.

Since the age of seven I have dedicated a part of my life’s time to conversation with my friend every day but, as a insatiable lover, he ever wants more and more. But, listen to me, all of this is a little effort, because, with his woody body, he can conduces you to heaven in a few seconds.

This is (this what?) a very special personality when you want produce greats(wf) results in your enterprise. A team lider (sp) has to incite their (ww) group, exhorting to take the better notion (rephrase it. This last part is not clear. What do you mean by better notion?). His example and his behavior are very important to give him authority and to make his team believe the win (ww) is possible. Sometimes the team leaderes (sp) are very talkative and search(ww) motivate their groups only with words. It's a mistake. It's important ^be a sensitive person and observe the characteristics of wich (sp) one of this colegges(sp - ww). Be (vf) a lider(sp) is be (vf) a friend (wf - adjective) and several (wf) when that (plural) behaviors (which behaviors?) are important to the group.
